THE NEWFOUNDLAND ASSOCIATION OF VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Who We Are and What We Do

We are an association established for individuals from the province of Newfoundland and Labrado living in British Columbia. However membership is open to anyone no matter where they are from. We have been in existence for over 30 years.

Our purpose is to promote our cultural and ethnic background so other Canadians as a whole have a better understanding of the customs and lifestyle of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The association strives to become active, visible, and involved in our community by making financial donations to charitable causes such as the establishment of a scholarship/busary fund and other worthy causes as approved by our membership.

To raise funds for such purposes by any lawful means including the soliciting of grants and donations and to receive property by way of donations, gifts, legacy or otherwise for applications in achieving the forgoing purposes.

Membership is just $20 per adult per year (no charge for children under 19) and entitles you to discounts at certain club events.

We host events throughout the year including a dart league, Christmas dinner and dance, and live music. Check out our calendar of events.

We award scholarships each year. Information regarding eligibilty and how to apply is in our scholarship application form.

We are proud to call the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #91 home. The Legion hosts our Darts League, Steak Nights, Christmas Dinner and Dance, Club Executive meetings, Annual General Meeting, and other events. Check out their calendar for more Legion events.
