Personal Note: I moved here alone, no friends or family. I call this incredible island home and can’t imagine living anywhere else. After a brief stint in Alberta, I realized how much I missed island life and specifically the ocean and moved to Victoria.
I found a wonderful community here and was thrilled to participate in last year’s Christmas party. I hope to connect with more Maritimers who have made their way out here
We have so much to offer our community, and in these sometimes-stressful times, it’s important to keep our spirit alive. As we approach another Christmas season, I wish you all good health and prosperity. Enjoy your time with friends and family and remember the true meaning of this celebration.
I would like to meet and see you all. Let's spread and share this great hearty Character with the rest of the community of this amazing island.

I would like to extend a big thank you to the NewFoundland Club of
Victoria for awarding me the scholarship this year. I am very grateful
to be chosen for the generous support! I plan on putting the money
towards a drawing tablet to help bring my architectural sketches to
life at school next year.   ANYA WALKER

Myrna Moodycliffe - July 21, 2023

Heaven, definitely gained another angel - RIP Myrna Moodycliffe

It is with great sadness that one of our lovely, full of laughter Newfoundland Club of Victoria members has

passed away.  Myrna was on the club executive for a period and helped out wherever she could.  Always

such a  ray of sunshine wherever she travelled, meeting new people along the way without any problems.

That was just in her nature, kind, friendly and loving soul.  She will be missed by so many.

Sending all our love and support to the Moodycliffe family and those who were so close to her xoxo

Ray Goslin - Saturday May 22, 2021
Our club lost an outstanding and loyal member. Ray Goslin passed away at the Duncan Hospital at the age of 88 years old.  For those who may not know, it was Ray and Shirley that had the Newfoundland sign made and installed at the Langford Legion when the club made it our ‘home’ base.  Ray was a very active member of the club for many years participating in all functions and any special events.  He was an avid dart club participant. He always supported the club with gifts and labour for most of our functions.  Sincere condolences to Shirley and Ray’s family & friends.
